Fruit cobbler is one of my favorite and easiest desserts to make! With a scoop of ice cream, it’s the best summer treat. Or any time of year treat! Not to be mistaken with a fruit crisp which has oatmeal and is more crispy on top, this dessert is a little more cakey.

First melt some butter in your awesome looking tart pan from Anthropologie! (My pan is twice the size of a 9 in pan, so I doubled the recipe.)

Peel and slice your peaches or other fruit.

Put your fruit in your pan. Make your batter and pour over your fruit.

Bake for about 60 minutes, till edges are brown and fruit is bubbly.

Peach (or any Fruit) Cobbler Recipe / Receta del Melocotón “Cobbler”

Ingredients:

  • 3 tbsp (43 g) butter/mantequilla
  • 3/4 cup (94 g) flour/harina de trigo
  • 3/4 cup (150 g) sugar/azúcar
  • 1 tsp baking powder (1 cucharadita de levadura el polvo)
  • 1/4 tsp salt (1/4 cucharadita de sal)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla (1/2 cucharadita de vainilla)
  • 3/4 cup (177 ml) milk/leche
  • 3 cup peaches, peeled and sliced, approx 2-3 peaches/ 2-3 melocotón, peladas y cortadas
  • 1 tbsp sugar (1 cucharada de azúcar)
  • 1/2 tbsp cinnamon (1/2 de cucharada de canela)
  1. Preheat oven to 350 F (176 C). Precaliente el horno a 176 C.
  2. Put butter in a 9 inch (23 cm) pan and melt the butter; then remove pan from the oven. Añade la mantequilla en el molde y fundi la mantequilla. Después, tome el molde del horno.
  3. Whisk flour, 3/4 cup sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. Mezcle la harina, azúcar, levadora, y sal en un cuenco.
  4. Add the milk and vanilla and whisk together. Añade la leche y la vainilla y mezcle.
  5. Put the fruit in the pan and pour batter over top. Añade las frutas en el molde y echa la mezcla sobre las frutas.
  6. Sprinkle the top with extra sugar and cinnamon. Espolvorea la parte superior con la azúcar y canela.
  7. Bake til batter browns on the edge and fruit is bubbling, approx. 60 min. Hornea durante unos 60 minutos.
  8. Top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream if desired. Enjoy! Puede poner helado de vainilla en la parte superior si lo desea.
